Network Equipment Technologies Supports L'Occitane en Provence's Goal to Enhance Communications

Integration With L'Occitane's Existing Infrastructure Results in Lower Costs and New Levels of Customer Satisfaction

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. ("NET") (NASDAQ: NWK), a leading provider of enterprise-class networking solutions optimized for secure real-time communications in unified communications (UC), SIP Trunking and enterprise mobility, today announced that L'Occitane en Provence, an international retailer of body, face, and home products, is successfully deploying NET's VX Series as the organization's strategic VoIP solution to modernize and globalize communication and to gain cost efficiencies while enhancing productivity for its professionals.

NET supported L'Occitane's deployment of enterprise voice capabilities to approximately 1,000 professionals in three countries, and expects to add at least two more countries and begin utilizing NET's new UX Series platform in 2012. Operating as a media gateway, the NET equipment allowed L'Occitane to fully integrate the solution with its existing PBX environment. In addition to equipment, NET provided local technical expertise.

"The NET team has partnered with us for several years as we have upgraded from Microsoft OCS 2007 to Microsoft Lync 2010," said Stephen Roux, Infrastructure System Manager for L'Occitane. "NET has delivered the technology solution in several countries where we have operations and we expect to continue adding more. NET's technical support and customer service has been outstanding and we are grateful for the local presence, guidance and technical knowledge they offered within their global organization of UC professionals."

"NET's ability to manage the complex requirements of system implementations across multiple countries is one of the primary benefits that distinguish us," said Philippe Blanquart, Regional Sales Director. "For L'Occitane, our valuable local resources as well as the global UC expertise of NET's international team enabled the company to deploy a VoIP network in multiple countries, as well as continue to upgrade their Microsoft software with minimal risk and disruption for customers."

NET's VX and UX Series are fully integrated multi-service voice switches that provide high-performance VoIP communications for enterprise deployments. Both platforms interoperate with all leading PBX and IP-PBX vendor protocols, offering rapid deployment and easy installation, with minimal maintenance.
