Network Equipment Technologies to Exhibit at AFCEA ASIA-PACIFIC

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - October 25, 2010) -  NET Federal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. ("NET") (NASDAQ: NWK), announced today that it will exhibit at the 2010 AFCEA TECHNET ASIA-PACIFIC on October 26-28 at the Sheraton Waikiki & Royal Hawaiian Hotels in booth 119. TECHNET serves as a premier equipment, systems, services and technology exposition for the military community in the Pacific Theater.

NET Federal will demonstrate its VX Series voice exchange with integrated Session Border Controller (SBC), which is JITC certified as a Tactical Network Element (T-NE), assuring the strict security and reliability that the DoD requires in its voice systems. The VX Series' capabilities allow it to interwork with either legacy PBXs or next generation IP-based voice platforms. Optimized for Government use, the VX Series voice exchange provides advanced MLPP, SBC, and security features that are in line with the new AS-SIP UCR definition. In addition, the VX Series offers a robust implementation of V.150 Universal Modem Relay that communicates between the newly deployed secure IP phones, such as the Sectéra® vIPer™ Universal Secure phone from General Dynamics C4 Systems, and secure analog communications devices. NET and General Dynamics will demonstrate this dynamic capability by having a Sectéra vIPer in the General Dynamics booth (booth 207) communicating with a SCIP Sectera® Wireline Terminal (SWT) in the NET booth using V.150 Universal Modem Relay.

Proven by use in Department of Defense and NATO deployments, the VX Series has been selected by Government entities looking to achieve the advantages of next-generation voice systems, while continuing to utilize existing voice assets, all while assuring adherence to standards for security and reliability.

The Asia-Pacific area is home to three major commands. The DISA Pacific Command (DISA-PAC) represents the Director, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and acts as his agent to execute the DISA mission within the Pacific Theater. MARFORPAC, headquartered at Camp H. M. Smith in Hawaii, commands all U.S. Marine Corps forces assigned to the U.S. Pacific Command; and the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACCOM), which together with other U.S. Government agencies, protects and defends the U.S., its territories, Allies and interests.
