IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 5, 2016) - Netwrix Corporation, the first to introduce a visibility and governance platform that supports both on-premises and hybrid cloud IT environments, today introduced the Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance, a new deployment option for Netwrix Auditor. The Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance is quick and easy to deploy, with no hardware or software provisioning required, and ensures continuous governance over the entire IT environment.
Netwrix Auditor is a visibility and governance platform that enables control over changes, configurations and access in hybrid cloud IT environments to protect data regardless of its location. The platform provides security analytics to detect anomalies in user behavior and investigate threat patterns before a data breach occurs.
According to the 2016 Netwrix IT Risks Survey, less than 17% of organizations are confident about their ability to beat cyber risks. Most of them face serious obstacles on their way to security and complain about lack of resources, including both budget (49%) and time (47%). These issues prevent them from having complete visibility into their IT infrastructure, which 78% agree is a cornerstone of any IT security strategy.
The Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance solves these issues. The key benefits of the new deployment option include:
- Cost efficiency and faster time to value. 2014 SQL Server Express with Reporting Services, 2012 Windows Server 2012 R2, Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) and the scripts necessary to automate virtual appliance provisioning are all preinstalled, enabling organizations to slash costs and quickly deploy and start using the appliance.
- Interoperability. As a result of Netwrix's VMware Ready status and strategic partnership with Microsoft, the Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance is fully supported and certified by VMware and also fully supported and tested on Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Rigorous control and strong security. The Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance provides visibility into changes, configurations and data access across the cloud, hybrid or on-premises environment from a single console. This ensures organizations gain maximum benefit from Netwrix's leading visibility and governance platform and enables them to detect insider threats and minimize the risk of compliance violations.
"The traditional approach to software delivery, despite being a preferred option, may often be costly and complex, especially when it comes to hardware-based appliances," said Michael Fimin, CEO and co-founder of Netwrix. "Therefore, there is a strong need for a new software delivery system that leverages all the benefits of virtual infrastructures and does not require the provisioning of any hardware or software. We are glad to meet this market demand and empower our customers with complete visibility into their on-premises and cloud infrastructures at no extra cost, so they can implement Netwrix software in the most effective manner and keep a closer eye on security issues."
