NeuLion Chosen as Major League Soccer's Digital Video Partner

Major League Soccer and Internet Television Provider NeuLion Bring Live Soccer Matches and Interactive Viewing to Fans Through New Broadband Service

PLAINVIEW, NY--(Marketwire - March 25, 2010) -  Leading IPTV service provider NeuLion (TSX: NLN) and Major League Soccer (MLS), the top-flight professional soccer league in the United States, today announced a new partnership for a dedicated online video service built and managed by NeuLion.

A new MLS integrated digital experience, MatchDay Live, is now available via the MLS homepage -- -- to deliver high definition (HD) quality video and other content to soccer fans worldwide.

Built by NeuLion and powered by Microsoft Silverlight, the brand new and totally rebuilt 2010 digital service has advanced features including DVR-like functionality and HD-quality video, enabling fans to watch and engage with the game through a number of exciting, interactive real time services. NeuLion provides MLS with an end-to-end service and will deliver up to 300 MLS, SuperLiga and InterLiga games as well as other Soccer United Marketing events during the season, including condensed archive games and real time highlights all delivered in HD to a viewer's browser.

"After an extensive search, MLS has chosen NeuLion as our digital partner," said Chris Schlosser, Director of Digital Strategy for MLS. "We came to this decision based upon NeuLion's experience of running cutting edge sports networks and their constant innovation in the world of Internet Television. We are very excited to launch a new video service for our fans that will be second to none."

Fans will be able to easily navigate between live and on-demand games and watch condensed games and highlights, viewable on a large HD 'playing surface' right from their computers. The MLS MatchDay Live branded service also offers fans a live Field Tracker for easy highlight navigation that represents an animated aerial view of the game, a live chat tool, statistics integration, as well as embed and share features.

"NeuLion sport networks continue to grow and the MLS partnership gives fans the opportunity to watch the best soccer content on an exciting new digital platform," said Chris Wagner, Executive Vice President of NeuLion. "Not only will the game experience be enhanced for soccer fans but this new service will convert those of you who are not soccer fans; it's really a cool service."

"It's impressive to see how partners such as NeuLion are taking advantage of the rich media capabilities in Silverlight to deliver HD-quality video to MLS fans worldwide," said Steve Sklepowich, director for Silverlight at Microsoft Corp. "With the highest quality online video and interactive DVR-like features in the new Silverlight player, NeuLion and MLS' MatchDayLive service will enable soccer fans around the world to engage with their favorite teams like never before."
