CLARKSVILLE, MD--(Marketwired - Jan 29, 2014) - Neuronascent, Inc. announced today the issuance of the United States patent covering a new compound family that includes Neuronascent's lead candidate, NNI-370 for Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. This is an important expansion of the company's patent portfolio of small-molecule therapies for neurologic disorders.

Dr. Meshul has been working in the Parkinson's disease space for over 20 years on progressive models of disease and therapeutic targets. His research is currently funded by The Michael J. NNI-370 is part of a larger molecular family that has been validated in neural cell assays that indicate not only neuroprotection against brain toxins, but induction of progenitor cells into new neurons, that are selectively lost in the region of the brain damaged in PD.
