New Albany Dentist Completes Special Implant Training in Brazil

NEW ALBANY, IN –--(Marketwired - December 31, 2015) - Dr. Ronald Receveur, a leading Indiana dental implant provider, recently returned from advanced training in Brazil that focused on giving patients dental implants following extraction. Dr. Receveur, who operates a New Albany dental practice, was one of 20 U.S. clinicians to attend the four-day surgical training course on immediate-load dental implants in Curitiba, Brazil. Immediate-load dental implants are implants placed directly after the teeth are extracted. Once the implants are placed, they are fabricated with a permanent restoration.

"Immediate-load implants are an exciting new treatment for patients struggling with failing teeth because they can give that person a new smile in one day," Dr. Receveur said. "The alternative to immediate-load implants is walking around without teeth following extraction, which no one wants to do."

The dental implant company Neodent partnered with the Latin American Institute of Dental Research and Education to conduct the training. The course focused on immediate-load techniques, diagnosis, treatment planning, single- and multi-tooth and the specifics of the Morse Taper implant system by Neodent.

The Latin American Institute of Dental Research and Education is comprised of educators, teachers and researchers and aims to use state-of-the-art training for the world's foremost dental specialists. Each doctor who attended the clinical trial received hands-on training to find the most appropriate implant for different bone structures and conditions.

"It's important for me to complete several hours of continuing education every year to ensure that my patients are getting the most advanced treatment," Dr. Receveur said. "The more we study immediate-load implants, the better we become at quickly resolving patients' oral health problems and giving them permanent, beautiful teeth."

Dr. Receveur, who practices in New Albany, Ind., across the Ohio River from Louisville, Ky., offers cosmetic dentistry services and general dentistry such as teeth cleanings, X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, teeth whitening and veneers.

Dr. Receveur also has vast experience with All-on-4 dental implants, All-on-6 dental implants, One Day Smile Solution, dental implants in one hour, bone grafting and sinus lifts, all with IV sedation dentistry. He has been restoring implants with prosthetics and complex dentistry for 25 years and surgically placing implants since 2008. He places more than 500 dental implants every year.

Dr. Receveur offers a five-year warranty on all cosmetic and prosthetic work.

Dr. Receveur, a New Albany native, has been the family dentist of choice for Southern Indiana and Louisville since 1981. Dr. Receveur was born with a partial cleft palate that left him with a missing front tooth. As a child he "wore an awful removable partial." As a teenager, Dr. Receveur received a permanent bridge, but his dentist destroyed one of his healthy, natural teeth in the process. These dental experiences helped drive him to find better dental solutions for his patients.

Dr. Receveur graduated from Indiana University Southeast with honors in chemistry, after which he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Receveur has attended more than 5,000 hours of postgraduate training and even gone to Portugal to study with the best dentists in the world. He has been awarded numerous advanced certifications in implant, sedation, comprehensive, restorative and aesthetic dentistry so he may provide the most current dental techniques to his Louisville and New Albany dental patients.

Dr. Bradley Frederick is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and has training in orthodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Frederick earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the men's soccer team. He graduated high school from St. Xavier in Louisville.

Dr. Frederick was a dental lab technician before receiving his DMD. That gives him unique knowledge in cosmetic dentistry elements like crowns, bridges, veneers and smile design. He has received training in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), orthodontics and dental implants at the Midwest Implant Institute.
