New Alberta Online Math Coaching System Launches

Thirty percent of students starting high school are not graduating. Math is playing a major role in student's failure. Attention: Education Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Tech/Telecomm Editor CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - May 9, 2005) - School will soon be out for the summer and more than thirty percent of students will either not graduate or will have to consider summer school. Why? One of the astounding phenomenons associated with poor math grades comes packaged in Giftedness! While students are often gifted in one or more areas, it seems unusual that they can't do Math. Students may excel at music, sports, or language arts. But not in Math? Particularly when students are gifted in verbal reasoning - they like to read and do well in language related activities. What should parents do? Eliminate career choices for their children that involve math? Perhaps as a last resort, but there are new innovative approaches that get results.
It has long been accepted that tutoring is an excellent way to learn. Especially if it is individualized and presented in ways that the student likes to learn. Many traditional tutoring agencies continue to use methods developed twenty or thirty years ago. Students continue to be driven to after school classes by concerned parents. Times have changed. And with those changes come new interests for students and new approaches to learning.
Pure Math Online founder, Brian Vass designed an online program after being approached by many people who wanted to know the secret behind his successes with math tutoring. "This innovative approach taps into what students enjoy most - The Internet! " says Vass, "The research is there on how children learn and where they spend their time. When learning is fun, astonishing things happen. Pure Math Online creates the most positive online learning experience possible for a student. Our experienced professional teachers combine the fundamentals of math with the joy of learning in the comfort of their own home." says Vass.
Pure Math Online believes it is no longer acceptable that thirty percent of students will not graduate this coming June, and is dedicated to making a difference. The future of our nation depends on it.
