New American Castle Partners With Friends of Santa Claus to Benefit Children Diagnosed With Cancer

MIDDLEFIELD, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 4, 2005 -- The luxury show home project, The New American Castle, is partnering with Friends of Santa Claus to provide several children diagnosed with cancer and their families a "Castle Day."

The New American Castle is a showcase of beautiful products and leading-edge services from 200 corporations. allows an inside look at the Castle's progress as it nears completion and a DVD/video called "The Building of The New American Castle" is being produced.

When Castle owners Kim and Patricia Baker met recently with Lou Dalrymple and David Brill of Airlessco Corporation at the Castle in Middlefield, the conversation turned from the efficiency of the Airlessco professional paint sprayer to the time and energy both men devote to Friends of Santa Claus. (

Friends of Santa Claus is a charity founded in 1993 by Ted and Barbara Van Thullenar. "Friends offers financial and emotional support to some very special sick children and their families in their time of need," says Lou Dalrymple, Vice President of the organization. Lou and David both take a week off every year to cook, supervise and entertain the 197 children involved with the Friends program.

"The enthusiasm for helping these children is contagious," explains Kim Baker. "Hearing Lou and David speak about the great time they have at camp and fulfilling wishes all year long for these kids and their families was more than heart warming."

Lou and David came to the Castle to bronze the Castle lion statuary that stands over 5' tall at the Castle entrance. The Airlessco sprayer accomplished the job perfectly and astoundingly in less than 20 minutes. Lou and David remarked that the children would love the Castle and asked if Patricia and Kim would consider having a "Castle Day," for several of their children and families. Kim and Patricia quickly agreed. Adds Patricia, "We feel privileged to have the Castle be a part of their joy. This is a very special place and if the kids and their families enjoy their visit as we hope they do, we would like to make this an annual event."
