New -- An Energy Efficient Crawl Space and Foundation System

SILER CITY, NC--(Marketwire - January 25, 2008) - International Precast, Inc. announces their new insulated energy efficient crawl space and foundation system. This takes Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) technology a step further in that it provides an eight-inch thick wall of concrete and insulation having an R-29 NC rating. On the exterior is a two-inch concrete layer and on the interior is a four-inch concrete layer, a two-inch extruded polystyrene insulation layer is sandwiched in between. In addition, the embedded pressure treated ledger boards, access conduits and receptacle boxes, bottom weld plates, connection plates, and top weld plates and studs, create one of the strongest and most energy efficient building systems on the market -- incredibly environmentally friendly.

This technology keeps the walls at a steady temperature reducing the potential for dew point condensation. That, coupled with the inert materials used in the precast process, significantly reduces the threat of mold and mildew.

Since insufficient insulation and air leakage are the two leading causes of energy waste in most buildings, International Precast technology keeps homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
