New Ann Arbor Outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment Center Opens

ANN ARBOR, MI--(Marketwired - Nov 4, 2014) - Ann Arbor Treatment Center, an outpatient opioid addiction treatment facility serving patients struggling with heroin or prescription drug abuse, opened on October 21, 2014 at 522 South Maple Road in the North West section of Ann Arbor.

Ann Arbor Treatment Center, a member of CRC Health Group, provides medically supervised methadone and Suboxone (buprenorphine) maintenance treatment to individuals who are attempting to overcome an addiction to or dependence upon heroin, prescription pills, or other opioids. The clinic's services also include individual counseling and group counseling.

"The rate of hospitalizations involving opioids increased 120 percent between 2000 and 2011 in Michigan alone," said John Peloquin, president of CRC's Health Group's CTC division. "It is a serious issue we hope to help decrease by providing services to those seeking to overcome their opioid addictions in the Ann Arbor community."

To be eligible for treatment at the Ann Arbor Treatment Center, prospective patients must be at least 18 years old, and must have been addicted to or dependent upon opiates for a minimum of one year prior to seeking treatment.
