New Apartment Community for Low-Income Seniors Accepting Applications on September 6

Section 8 Assistance Available


COMPTON, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 1, 2011) - The County of Los Angeles Housing Authority will be processing applications for Section 8 rental assistance for SEASONS at Compton's one-bedroom apartments at the property on Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If the maximum 500 applications are not received, a second session will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8.

SEASONS at Compton is a brand new, 84-unit apartment community designed to meet the needs of senior citizens 62 and older and senior citizens with developmental disabilities or those caring for a developmentally disabled family member. The complex is located in Compton at 15810 Frailey Avenue and features a large, fully furnished Community Room equipped with a kitchen, laundry facilities, and computer lab with Internet access. Each of the 84 units feature new appliances, expansive floor plans with balconies or patios, and are Internet ready.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 62 years old, have one to three people in the household, and meet other Section 8 requirements. To expedite applications, potential residents should bring: driver's license, Medicare Part D card, most recent paycheck stubs, Social Security award letter, and bank statements.
