A New App for the Fashion Obsessed, CrowdStar's COVET Fashion Launches on iPhone and iPad

Next-Generation Fashion App Blurs the Line Between Game and Reality

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2013) -  Mobile games publisher CrowdStar officially launches COVET Fashion, a new game for iPhone and iPad that allows users to dress up virtual avatars in current-season products from real world brands.

COVET Fashion is available to download for free at http://appstore.com/covetfashion.

COVET Fashion boldly aims to redefine the mobile shopping experience by turning fashion discovery into a game. The app provides users with a way to get one step closer to owning outfits and accessories from their favorite high-end luxury brands including Rebecca Minkoff, Joie, Halston Heritage, Dannijo, Torn by Ronny Kobo, Cut25 by Yigal Azrouel, Cynthia Rowley, Sigerson Morrison, Hudson, Botkier, and many more.

COVET Fashion was built from the ground up with the most fashion savvy consumers in mind. The core of the game involves styling complete head-to-toe looks on a virtual mannequin for a variety of themed style challenges. The highest community-rated outfits have a chance to win real world merchandise from top brands. The app serves as a platform where players can become style experts and show off their fashion prowess to the community.

The app is also a powerful fashion discovery tool that will satisfy the desire to shop while providing ideas on the perfect way to wear outfits for an endless number of occasions. If players like an item they see, the game links directly to the brands' e-commerce sites - giving players a seamless way to own the products in real life.

Top fashion designer & stylist Rachel Zoe will be one of many style ambassadors judging, writing style tips, and providing COVET players with expert fashion advice. Zoe will also host styling events where players can share their looks with the fashion community and compete to receive personalized feedback directly from the celebrity designer.

"Covet Fashion gives you access to a massive closet -- full of this season's best fashion. Whether you're shopping for your avatar or yourself, the styling aspect appeals to anyone that is passionate about fashion," said Zoe.

How COVET Fashion Works

  • On an iPhone or iPad, use COVET Fashion to browse the latest clothing and accessories from over 60 high contemporary brands.

  • Choose from over 1,000 unique pieces -- such as signature bags from Rebecca Minkoff -- to create the perfect head-to-toe looks.

  • Enter looks into themed style competitions and win prizes -- like real-life designer items or personalized style advice from Rachel Zoe.

  • Rate looks submitted by other users and help determine who styled it best. Pin favorite fashion discoveries to Pinterest to share with the community.

  • If players love their new looks, COVET Fashion is the first game that links directly to brands' e-commerce sites so players can buy their new favorite fashions in real life.

"Covet is the perfect expression of fashion," said Jeffrey Tseng, CrowdStar CEO. "It's the only mobile experience that combines the three tenets of fashion -- shopping, styling, and being seen."
