New App Feature Matches Students to Compatible Universities

The Integration of a New Algorithm Will Allow LTG's Test Prep Apps, Prep4SAT and Prep4GMAT, to Calculate the Ideal Schools for Candidates

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 25, 2015) - Boston-based standardized test app developer, LTG Exam Platform (LTG), today announced a new feature called 'School Matcher' for its free standardized test preparation apps, Prep4SAT and Prep4GMAT. Based on LTG's newly developed algorithm, School Matcher will provide students with college suggestions in order to help them choose a destination for their higher education.

With a global user-base of over 200,000 students, LTG is able to play matchmaker for students and their desired universities around the world. The School Matcher feature, which is available on both the iOS and Android versions of the apps, collects personal preferences on colleges based on a short survey, then compares compatibility with universities and the results of users' estimated and existing test scores. The process mirrors modern dating apps, pairing students with well-matched universities.

"Choosing which college to go to is one of the biggest decisions I'll make," said Jack Chasanoff, a high school senior who recently took the SAT. "The School Matcher feature helped me find schools that weren't even on my radar, and now they may be major contenders."

The School Matcher algorithm also presents a new opportunity for LTG to expand partnerships with colleges seeking outlets for reaching potential students. Universities will have the option to see who has been matched with their institution and proactively connect with those students.

"This is an exciting new development for both schools and students," said Elad Shoushan, founder and CEO of LTG Exam. "There are literally thousands of choices when it comes to higher education, and that is an overwhelming prospect for many students. Combined with our top schools feature, which lets students pick their top 5 schools, School Matcher rounds out each of our apps to be the ultimate tool for getting into your dream university."

As part of the version update, LTG is also integrating a new Leaderboard feature, which brings a social component to the app. Leaderboard is designed to enable students to compare their progress with other like-minded applicants, sparking friendly competition among users. The new feature also allows students to discover learners from same area and connect with those interested in same schools. With these connections, learners can trade tips and strategies as they prepare for the next exam.

Download Prep4SAT for free in the App Store and Google Play, or, if you are preparing for the GMAT, download Prep4GMAT in the App Store or Google Play for free. More test versions are in development.
