New Apps Keep Grosvenor Square London Hotel in Tune With the Way People Work and Play

London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square Offers Marriott's New Mobile Check-In App

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Dec 12, 2013) -  In recognition of its increasingly connected mobile guests, the prominent London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square has been chosen as one of five hotels in Europe to launch Marriott's new mobile check-in app.

Aimed at keeping check-in simple for the growing number of smartphone users, the Mayfair hotel's new service was initiated in mid-November and allows travelers to London, who are also Marriott Rewards members, to check-in after 4 p.m. the day prior to their arrival and later prompts them with an automatic notification when their room is ready. Upon arrival, guests need only to approach the Grosvenor Square London hotel's expedited mobile check-in desk inside the hotel lobby where their pre-programmed key card is waiting. Simplifying the check-in process and allowing guests to quickly advance to their room, the new mobile app also provides opportunity for guests to secure early check-in when available.

Initiated in more than 300 hotels across the United States and Canada earlier this summer, the mobile check-in feature is part of the free Marriott mobile app available in the Apple iTunes Store and Google Play.

Mobile check-in joins a list of innovations offered by the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, as the prominent London destination is also serving as a proof of concept hotel for Marriott's Future of Meetings and will soon be rolling out the new meetings app. Red Coat Direct will enable meeting organizers to adjust and edit their meeting requests and preferences at the touch of a button, and without missing a minute of their meeting or having to leave this modern London hotel's meeting rooms. The new app is personalized to each event's specific needs and allows requests to be made up to three days before the meeting and then throughout the event. Planned to be available in 19 languages and set to roll out globally in 2014, the app is available for all internet-enabled devices including the iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and laptops.
