New Bentley Seminars to Focus on AXSYS Products for DigitalPlant; Attendees Will Learn How to Save 50 Percent on Process Engineering Design Time and Costs, and Avoid Unscheduled Plant Shutdowns

Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced that it is launching a new series of seminars in Alberta, Canada that will focus on its AXSYS process engineering product line, which was recently integrated into Bentley's DigitalPlant solution. The seminars, which are geared to the needs of plant designers, engineering contractors, plant managers, process engineers, and plant operations and maintenance personnel, will detail the latest enhancements to this technology. They will explain how AXSYS can reduce process engineering design time and costs by 50 percent, and help plants avoid unscheduled shutdowns.

The half-day seminars are being held from 8 a.m. to noon June 21 in Calgary and June 23 in Edmonton. Presentations will be made by Bentley experts and other process industry professionals, including Geoff Eckold, Ph.D. Dr. Eckold is responsible for the integrity management business of AEA Technology, a leading provider of consultancy, technical services, and products to industries in which the management of capital assets is key to business performance.

Dr. Eckold has more than 20 years of experience in the design and management of process equipment for the oil and gas and chemical industries. He will discuss the benefits of risk-based inspection planning and highlight case studies from leaders in the industry.

-- How risk-based inspection models can be used predictively to optimize future inspection schedules

The AXSYS product line is used by engineering departments working on front-end engineering design (FEED) or by maintenance teams as part of their inspection planning groups.
