New Brunswick Site Adds to Shear Wind's Options

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA AND CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 14, 2007) - Mike Magnus, President & CEO of Shear Wind Inc. ("Shear Wind") (TSX VENTURE:SWX) is pleased to announce commencement of initial stages of feasibility and development of a new site in New Brunswick.

In the northwestern area of the province of New Brunswick, the Mann Siding Project promises to provide options for electricity transmission through a bid on the next New Brunswick Power RFP or through export possibilities. Transmission runs directly adjacent to this project, and with the recent signing of a wind exploration occupation permit with New Brunswick Crown Lands, Shear Wind has intentions to build up to 150MW of power.

Ian Tillard, COO, has been working hard over the past year to ensure Shear Wind has a diverse portfolio in the project pipeline. "New Brunswick property excites us because of the three very important qualifications of a successful wind farm. The first is access to transmission, second is a good wind resource and the third is market need. This new site has a 138 kV transmission line adjacent to the project area, is in a high potential wind resource area and is in a province which has an aggressive renewable energy policy and access to export markets." The site encompasses 6,000 hectares of woodlot/cultivated land.

Long term wind monitoring will begin early this winter, to provide a clearer understanding of the magnitude of this wind opportunity.
