New Canadian North Route Takes Flight

Iqaluit to Halifax flight a first for passenger air travel in Canada

Today Canadian North is proud to announce the launch of its new seasonal, non-stop service between Iqaluit, Nunavut, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, with same-plane service to St John's, Newfoundland.

The seasonal route is operating every Friday until August 29th, with the following schedule:

  • Flight 400 departs St. John's NF to Halifax NS at 12:00 arriving at 13:15
  • Flight 400 departs Halifax NS to Iqaluit NU at 14:00 arriving at 16:15
  • Flight 401 departs Iqaluit NU to Halifax NS at 17:15 arriving at 21:30
  • Flight 401 departs Halifax NS to St. John's NF at 22:15 arriving at 00:25

Passengers can expect an exceptional experience with Canadian North. Complimentary advance seat selection, generous luggage allowance and hot meals aboard their newest fleet addition, the Boeing 737-300, with comfortable leather seating and inflight video entertainment.
