New Cantech Ventures Inc.: Update on the Indi Claims, Stewart, British Columbia

WHITE ROCK, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 11, 2006) - New Cantech Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NCV)(FWB:C7X) ("Cantech"), announces that a 2006 exploration program has been scheduled for the Indi claims, which are the subject of a joint venture with Pinnacle Mines Ltd. and Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd. Cantech reports that exploration program will follow-up on intersections in DDH-2005-64 and 74. These holes were drilled from east to west in the course of testing the Dan zone which is near to top of each hole.

The property is owned 45% by the Cantech, 27.5% by Pinnacle Mines Ltd. and 27.5% by Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd.

Diamond Drill Holes 2005-64 and 74 gave the following values:

DDH From To Width Au Ag Cu Pb Zn
(m) (m) (m) g/t g/t % % %
2005-64 94.21 98.02 2.44 1.74 1.7 0.004 0.03 0.2
and 203.96 207.01 3.05 1.92 6.1 0.011 0.05 0.14
2005-74 59.45 60.88 1.43 2.49 93.4 0.002 0.01 0.01
and 65.24 66.92 1.68 1.32 17.2 0.003 0.01 0.01
and 174.39 178.35 3.96 7.76 6.8 0.004 0.05 0.15

The deepest intersection in DDH-2005-74 appears to be the down dip extension of a surface zone that gave 2 g/t Au across 8 meters in a surface trench. This would indicate a dip extent of at least 120 meters for this mineralized structure.

In addition the three companies plan to evaluate a granodiorite dyke that contains a flat lying ladder quartz-sulphide vein stockwork that has been traced for over one kilometer. Massive chalcopyrite and pyrite with lesser amounts of tetrahedrite, sphalerite and galena form stringers, veinlets and pods within the quartz. Select grab sampling of massive mineralization algon the Salmon River valley in 2004 yielded assays up to 1.49 g/t Au, 1302 g/t Ag, 8.91% Cu, 0.45% Pb and 1.51% Zn. In 2005, select grab sampling along the Granduc road, one kilometer from the 2004 sampling gave assays up to 1.06 g/t Au, 1012 g/t Ag, 3.19% Cu, 2.29% Pb and 7.90% Zn. Exploration along this mineralized structure will include trenching, geochemical surveys and if warranted, diamond drilling.

On September 29, 2005, Cantech announced that is had acquired a 100% interest in one mineral claim some 500 metres north east of the Pinnacle-Mountain Boy Silver Coin Project which project is located to the immediate east of the Indi Claims. Cantech plans a geochemical survey this summer on this property.

E. Kruchkowski, P. Geo., a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, is in charge of the exploration programs on behalf of the three companies. Drill core and trench samples are assayed by Assayers Canada of Vancouver, BC.
