New CEO to Accelerate Global Growth for Codenomicon

OULU, FINLAND -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 3, 2005 -- Codenomicon, the market leader in software robustness testing tools, announced today that it has hired Isaac Sundarajan as its new Chief Executive Officer. Sundarajan's extensive experience in the high-tech industry puts him in an excellent position to lead Codenomicon through its next stage of growth. His background includes executive management roles in leading software, EDA, and systems companies.

"I am excited to join Codenomicon since it is the leader in the emerging market of robustness testing tools inside the hot security arena," said Isaac Sundarajan. "The company's unique offering in this space has attracted leading companies in the communications and enterprise software industries to be their customers. With malicious attacks increasing day by day, the need for these tools is becoming absolutely critical. Using them in the early stages of development and testing helps reduce risks and costs drastically and avoid security problems from being found in the field. Vendors and global consulting organizations can also proactively fix any problems in post-deployment software before these problems are exploited. I look forward to expanding Codenomicon to the next level globally."

"As the founder and CEO of Codenomicon, I participated in the search for a new CEO for our company," said Ari Takanen. "We were looking for an international person who can take Codenomicon to the next stage in its globalization and bring Codenomicon robustness testing tools to everyone who needs to build dependable systems for critical infrastructure," Takanen continued. "We solve security problems in communication networks that our customers thought were impossible to eliminate. Codenomicon works with global companies from North America, Europe and Asia, and our technical superiority in test automation and product development tools is greatly valued by our customers. Isaac's presence will strengthen these key areas of expertise even further." Takanen will become the Chief Technology Officer of the company and will work closely with Sundarajan to maintain Codenomicon's success and growth.

Sundarajan's experience includes management positions in CoWare, Cadence, and Intel. During his eight years in CoWare, he played key roles in helping CoWare grow into a leading provider of systems-level design tools and a company with significant revenue. In the last several years at CoWare, Sundarajan managed sales, services, marketing and engineering functions. He also played an active role in the company's M&A strategy and was instrumental in acquiring a DSP software product line. He was the General Manager of the acquired business unit that grew in revenue and proved successful.

"Isaac's successful track record and his awesome references put him as the clear leader in the selection process and he soon became the #1 choice of the management team and the Board of Directors," said Peter Colaluca, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Codenomicon. "His refreshing enthusiasm should prove to be a great asset to Codenomicon and the industry."
