GRENVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 13, 2016) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Key players in the communities have long been asking for concrete, lasting improvements to the community and recreational infrastructures. The Government of Canada is proud to invest in projects that, like this one by Les Loisirs de Grenville, contribute to the vitality and dynamism of all the country's regions.

Mr. Stéphane Lauzon, MP for Argenteuil-La Petite-Nation announced, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, that $77,727 in financial assistance is being awarded to the organization Les Loisirs de Grenville for enhancing the facilities at Normand-Woodbury Park by adding a water play area.

Les Loisirs de Grenville, an NPO established in 1963, is responsible for managing the activities organized in Normand-Woodbury Park (baseball, soccer, ball hockey, day camp, etc.) and manages infrastructures belonging to the village of Grenville. The non-repayable contribution, awarded under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150), will enable them to equip the park with a water play area, a sustainable initiative that will be of great benefit to many families.

As such, they are the heart of those communities. These are the places where we can discover our differences and enjoy the different cultures that have been vitalizing our country for 150 years. By upgrading community and recreational infrastructures as part of CIP 150, we make our communities more vibrant and enhance the quality of life."
