New Condo Development Brings Affordable Luxury and Convenience to Active Adults 55+ in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2007 -- A new housing development in Southfield promises to set a new standard in affordable condominium living ... and it's designed for active adults 55 and over. "Solaire combines the luxury of resort-style amenities, the convenience of on-site services, and the peace of mind that comes from being part of a community ... all for a price that's less than you might expect," said developer Russ DiBartolomeo of E&D Development, Inc.

According to DiBartolomeo, "Residents of Solaire will enjoy amenities such as an indoor swimming pool and sauna, library with Internet access, and a 24-hour, fully equipped fitness center. They can relax outside in the community's private park with gazebo and walking trail, or practice golf on Solaire's putting green. There are a variety of opportunities to socialize with neighbors in the clubhouse, or grab a cup of coffee at the community's café and deli, complete with outdoor patio."

Solaire also offers conveniences like laundry and housekeeping services, trash pickup, and a beauty salon. Homeowners looking for peace of mind will appreciate the gated community entrance, reserved garage parking, community sidewalks, and the security and convenience of a 24-hour doorman.

The luxuries aren't found only in the community. DiBartolomeo commented, "Each Solaire condominium unit is classically styled, with ample natural light, open floor plans and available features such as granite counters, hardwood floors, and tile baths." Homebuyers choose from four floor plans -- studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom penthouse models -- ranging from 700 to over 1,500 square feet. "And, with prices starting at $89,900, owning a Solaire condo is a great investment," remarked DiBartolomeo.

Solaire Condominiums is located in the Cornerstone District of Southfield, close to major expressways, employers, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Solaire consists of two towers, with 191 home units in each. Developer E&D Development, Inc. purchased the towers in 2006, and has spent seven million dollars in site improvements and enhancements. Units were released for sale on March 1, 2007, in the north tower; units in the south tower are expected to be released in 2008.
