New Cowboy Boot Line to Carry HBO's Deadwood and Billy Martin's Name

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 20, 2006 -- Billy Martin's, USA (PINKSHEETS: BLYM), the western lifestyle brand, and HBO Properties are saddling up together to produce a portfolio of western apparel and accessory products inspired by the costume designs -- and colorful characters who wear them -- in "Deadwood," one of the most acclaimed dramas on television.

The HBO series, created and executive produced by David Milch (co-creator of NYPD Blue) is a panorama of the American West not seen before on television: "violent, grim, funny, and exceedingly profane, where Victorian ladies of the night, New York dandies, road agents, Chinese laborers, saloon owners, lawmen, liars, loners and lowlifes all come to life."

"Out of respect to these wily and colorful characters," Newton said, "our first Deadwood product will be a western boot line to be named 'the misfits.' The boots will be taller and more classic than most cowboy boots worn today, and in a shape and style we hope you and your great-great grandparents would be proud to wear."

Other Deadwood-Billy Martin's products will include Victorian-style vests made of fancy silk and velvet fabrics, virtually identical to those worn by Alma Garret (Molly Parker), Joanie Stubbs (Kim Dickens) and other "Chicago style" ladies of the night, as well as men's vests worn by the likes of Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant), Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) and Wild Bill Hickock (Keith Carradine) last seen in Deadwood slumped over his aces and eights -- two pair going nowhere.

Newton said the entire collection -- due to be introduced in late summer in the Billy Martin's boutiques in New York City and Hollywood, and marketed via the Internet -- is being created in collaboration with Janie Bryant, the show's Emmy®-winning costume designer, who is consulting on the designs.
