New DACOR Wall Ovens Cook Intuitively

Cutting-Edge Integrated Control Panel Guides Owners to Cook by Food, Not by Method

DIAMOND BAR, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 18, 2005 -- DACOR®, a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-end kitchen appliances, today announced the availability of the next generation of Epicure, Millennia, and Preference wall ovens featuring fourteen distinguishing styles and aesthetics including breakthrough Discovery® Controller technology.

The Discovery Controller is a new interactive guide that also functions as a digital temperature regulator. Its deluxe, user-friendly, pre-programmed cooking guide enables users to prepare a wide range of dishes to perfection with the touch of a button.

This guide eliminates much of the guesswork associated with preparing popular dishes and family recipes at home. It takes the variables of oven setting selection and the calculation of time and temperature out of the process. The home cook simply selects the desired recipe from the display menu, inserts the dish, and the wall oven takes care of the rest. Newly enhanced signature precision heating and sensor-driven temperature controls deliver an even, golden finish every time.

"The new DACOR wall ovens series set a higher standard of excellence with beautiful cutting-edge technology and practical functionality," said Larry Lamkins, assistant vice president of marketing for DACOR. "We have created a truly revolutionary product that has raised the bar for ease of use and performance, and has set the trend for the kitchen of the future."

In addition to the interactive cooking guide, the new wall ovens features 36 percent more useable cooking space; a larger viewing window; a help menu; a seven-day calendar; expanded hold options; and the ability to store up to 100 custom oven recipe settings.

Aesthetically, the Discovery Controller features numerous text and display color combinations to match other appliances and kitchen color schemes. The display is also protected beneath glass for easy cleanability. To complement the distinguished styling in each of DACOR's three product lines, the new wall ovens incorporate elegant and unique design accents, making their statement in anthracite, stainless steel, blue water, slate green, titanium silver, and other color finishes.

All new wall oven styles described below incorporate the Discovery Controller and dynamic cooking features including recessed broiler and baking element.

The next generation Epicure wall ovens also feature four handle trim color options and ergonomic handles designed for comfort. Handle trim colors options emphasizing the new black chrome, warm copper, bright brass, and popular chrome.

The sleek, elegant lines of the Millennia line marry high performance with an understated smooth look. The two new Millennia wall ovens capitalize on sleek, straight vertical or horizontal stainless steel accents to deliver high-class style. Like the Epicure, the Millennia wall ovens also feature ergonomic handles designed for comfort.

The DACOR Preference line delivers style in subtle ergonomic curves and uncompromising performance. The new Preference wall ovens feature new color-enhanced glass and coordinating ergonomic handles to personalize your kitchen. Initial color finish options include: Slate Green, Blue Water, Anthracite, Titanium Silver, Sterling Gray, and Black.
