A New Development Program Called ACCESS@AIDC Offering an Internship at Jamie Oliver's Production Company Fresh One

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - Jan 13, 2014) - ACCESS@AIDC is a new exciting mentorship program for future television and online media producers and content development executives to be offered during the Australian International Documentary Conference from March 4-7, 2014. ACCESS@AIDC offers a select group of highly motivated people who are at the start of their television production career a unique opportunity to spend quality time with professionals from Australia and abroad.

Jamie Oliver's production company Fresh One based in the United Kingdom will also offer a 4 week internship to an individual that shows talent and motivation during the conference. Roy Ackerman, Managing Director of Fresh One Productions, will join us as a mentor at AIDC in 2014 to select the successful applicant. Fresh One has created remarkable campaigning factual entertainment in recent years including: Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, Ministry of Food, School Dinners, Two Greedy Italians and Dream School.

Roy Ackerman, Managing Director of Fresh One, said, "All of us with a job in the industry needed a break and a mentor. So I am very excited to be involved in the ACCESS@AIDC programme and to offer an internship at Fresh One Productions in London. Jamie Oliver and the company know that the future of the company will be based on the young people we employ and, as long as the applicants aren't too rude about the English cricket team, we can promise them a big welcome."

During the conference in a series of 30 minute sessions selected participants will be briefed on industry customs, dynamics, economics and ethics in an exclusive informal environment. Successful applicants will also get ACCESS to the full AIDC conference program, market, and the DocWeek screening program at no charge.

Joost den Hartog, Executive Director of AIDC, said, "We are excited to be able to offer this new initiative and to support the next generation of industry professionals by leveraging our networks and creating entry points. We are thrilled to have Roy Ackerman join in the search for new talent, and for Fresh One to support the Program."

Applications are now open. There is no age limitation to participate in ACCESS@AIDC, however to be eligible for the Fresh One internship candidates must be under 31 and hold Australian citizenship. The age restriction does not apply to UK visa holders
