New Director for Silver Spruce

BRIDGEWATER, NOVA SCOTIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 27, 2006) - Silver Spruce Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SSE)(FWB:S6Q) is pleased to announce that Ted Urquhart, a Santiago, Chile-based geophysical consultant with extensive uranium survey experience, has accepted a position on the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Urquhart was an integral part of the exploration team that completed 18,600 line kilometers of airborne, helicopter-supported radiometric and magnetic surveys for uranium over the company's 8,600 claims on the wholly owned and joint ventured projects in Labrador over the past year. During this time he served as the geophysical consultant who supervised and evaluated the data produced. He will now take an even more hands-on approach to the exploration follow up as a member of the Silver Spruce Board.

"We're pleased to welcome Ted to the Board of Directors," said Lloyd Hillier, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Silver Spruce Resources Inc. "As an expert in the field of geophysical surveying and uranium, he is the ideal person to assist us in identifying the highest priority drill targets. His wealth of knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to develop our current properties and expand our land portfolio."

Mr. Urquhart has more than 25 years of experience in geophysical surveying, including radiometrics, magnetics and electromagnetic surveys, both with the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) and with several private companies. Most recently he ran his own survey company, High-Sense Geophysics, which was acquired by Fugro Airborne Surveys in 2000.

In the late 1970s Mr. Urquhart worked on a number of uranium exploration projects including Gulf Minerals in the Great Bear Lake Area; CNEA in Argentina; Cogema in Mali; and with the GSC on a five-year airborne survey that developed new processing techniques for radiometric surveying. From 1988 to 1993, he was a consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), specializing in uranium surveying, interpretation and follow-up. In the early 1990s he continued to work with radiometric techniques, developing methods for back calibration of airborne survey data, including a project in Namibia where old analogue data was recovered and converted to produce ground equivalent ppm concentration maps for the three natural radio-elements-potassium, uranium and thorium. During this period he also worked with the Bulgarian Airborne survey group studying uranium occurrences in that country.

The company would also like to announce that, effective November 23, Lowell Weir has resigned from the Board of Silver Spruce. The company thanks Mr. Weir for his many valuable contributions during his tenure as a director.
