New Funambol EVP Global Sales David Shimoni to Drive Company's Expansion as Leader of White-Label Personal Cloud Solutions for Mobile Providers

FOSTER CITY, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 4, 2012) - Funambol, the leading provider of white-label personal cloud solutions for mobile providers, today announced the appointment of David Shimoni as Executive Vice President, Global Sales. In this role, David will be working with mobile carriers, device makers and Internet portals to help them bring their own branded digital locker service to market based on Funambol OneMediaHub. David brings more than 20 years of successful sales leadership to Funambol, including work experience at InfoGin, Networks in Motion (NIM), Mobixell Networks and Comverse.

David Shimoni has 20+ years of experience in sales and marketing of value-added solutions, applications and infrastructure to service providers. Most recently, he was EVP, Worldwide Sales and Marketing at InfoGin, a leading provider of mobile browsing solutions. Prior to that, David was SVP, Worldwide Sales at Networks in Motion, a leading provider of location based services, where he led the company through hyperbolic growth, leading to the successful acquisition of the company. Before joining NIM, David was President at Mobixell Networks, a leading provider of mobile broadband solutions, and VP, North America Sales at Comverse, a leading provider of telecom value-added services, where he helped grow the company's business from a negligible position to over $150M of sales. David holds an MBA degree from Columbia and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University.
