New Holland Agriculture Introduces Innovations at the SIAM Show

The Brand Presents a New Series for the Market, a Full Range of Equipment and the Commitment of Its Partner Somma Auto - Hall to Increase Its Presence in Morocco

LUGANO, SWITZERLAND--(Marketwire - April 22, 2009) - New Holland Agriculture, a global manufacturer and seller of agricultural equipment, part of the Fiat Group (FIA.MI), renews its presence this year at the 4th edition of the SIAM (Salon international de l'Agriculture au Maroc) show, organized in Meknes from April 22 to 27, 2009, under the presidency of the King Mohammed VI, in conjunction with the MADRPM (Ministère de l'Agriculture, du Développement Rural et des Pêches Maritimes).

New Holland, which is supported in Morocco by a 30-year partnership with its distributor Somma (Société Marocaine de Machines Agricoles part of the Group Auto - Hall), will present a new set of machinery to support agricultural operations in the country. From orchard and all-purpose tractors to grape harvesters, New Holland offers a complete line of assistance in the agricultural sector.

At the SIAM show, New Holland will launch the new T4000F orchard tractor, which recently was awarded on an international level for its innovation. The VX7090 grape harvester was also on display. This high capacity multifunctional harvester summarizes the excellence that has distinguished New Holland for over 30 years in all the world's vineyards. It has been designed for use throughout the year from pre-pruning to grape harvesting. That is why New Holland has developed a new, patented quick-harvesting head-removal system which allows the operator to replace the head with the new spraying equipment or other attachment in just 20 minutes. This versatile model may be fitted with a kit especially designed for olive harvesting.

New Holland will display the best of its tractors commercialized in Morocco: the successful TD Series, five models from 59 to 98 hp; the proven and maneuverable TDD Series with 5 models ranging from 59 to 98 hp; and the rugged TT Series which will soon add one more model with 65hp to better suit farmers' needs.

The variety of New Holland's tractor range will be further highlighted by the presence of other models, including the TNV70 and the TK 80.

"Morocco is one of the most promising markets in the continent," said Hicham El Mouktafi, New Holland Business Manager North Africa. "Last year we grew 60% with respect to the previous year in the tractor segment; this represents an important figure which demonstrates our company's commitment in the country. Our excellent results in terms of market share, which make us the leader in the country, are due to a good relationship between product and price and to the high level of assistance and service we offer to the customers. The government has developed a plan called Green Morocco that is aimed at increasing the growth of mechanized agriculture in the country, which includes the introduction of new agricultural techniques. We are committed to assisting in the development of this plan with our global expertise and the support of a well proven and reliable partner, Somma."

Somma Auto - Hall is increasing its presence in the country through the creation of new branches, which will offer improved service and assistance to farmers and contribute to the overall growth of the agricultural sector in the country.
