New IncuityEMI™ 2.5 Raises the Performance Bar in Providing Business Intelligence for Manufacturing

MISSION VIEJO, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2007) - Incuity Software, Inc. today announced the release of Version 2.5 of its industry-leading IncuityEMIbusiness intelligence (BI) software for manufacturing. This next generation product helps continuous process, batch and discrete manufacturing companies to gain deeper insight into their operations, and serves as a powerful platform for developing composite manufacturing applications.

"IncuityEMI gives us information access and analytical capabilities that provide deeper insight into all process phases so that we can prioritize our optimization tasks," said Mark Garnett, Automation and Maintenance Manager at Chemtura Corporation, in Elmira, Ontario, Canada. "With so many process phases involved in production of our complex, high volume products, the possibility of inefficiencies can rise proportionally as the number of batches increases. We have already increased productivity significantly on major product lines and IncuityEMI has paid for itself in well under six months."

"Version 2.5 of IncuityEMI is the only solution available that enables a fully integrated information approach to business intelligence for manufacturing, and it now scales better than ever, from small, self-managing installations to enterprise-scale deployments with millions of model items and hundreds of users," said Doug Lawson, Incuity CEO.

IncuityEMI's major new capabilities include:

-- Point and click configuration of its Unified Production Model -- Users
can now easily adopt and extend industry models like ISA 95 or create their
own models of physical assets and equipment, products, schedules,
    inventories, suppliers and customers.
-- SQL Server Stored Procedure access to the Unified Production Model --
IncuityEMI now provides complete access to all connected control and
business data sources via web services, the .NET object model or stored
procedures, making it the industry's most flexible and productive platform
    for developing composite manufacturing applications.
-- Enhanced internal 'Incuity' tags -- These make it easier to integrate
manually-entered data and calculate, process and aggregate data from all
    external sources.

"Traditional BI systems are good at contextualizing summary transaction data, but fall short with high-resolution, real-time data," said Alison Smith, Senior Research Analyst at AMR Research in Boston. "Adding intelligence in manufacturing involves higher resolution data, which requires data/object models that can accurately reflect each manufacturing operation within the enterprise."

"Manufacturing operations intelligence is a critical decision support tool that is rapidly becoming a necessity for global companies trying to balance profitable manufacturing practices against variability in their supply base and in their target markets," said Laura McCaughey, Managing Director of the AMR Research Investment Research Strategies Group. "Incuity is going after the operations intelligence market, which is just starting to heat up, and it has early mover advantage. The company understands the problems that its clients are trying to solve and can speak the language of the space they're going after."

Pricing for a typical IncuityEMI 2.5 system, with connectivity to both business and manufacturing applications, starts at about $25,000. The new 2.5 version is available now for immediate shipment.
