New Indie Distribution Company Launches Revolutionary Web-Based Full-Length Feature Film Festival

Documentary on Wu-Tang's ODB "DIRTY: PLATINUM EDITION" to Premiere Event With Live Appearance by The Wu-Tang Clan

HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwired - September 24, 2013) - New Hollywood Entertainment™, a fully vertical independent film distribution company, announces the launch of the NUHO Online Film Festival™, the first revenue-sharing, full-length film festival distribution model for filmmakers.

New Hollywood Entertainment has acquired the film "Dirty: Platinum Edition," a documentary chronicling the life and legacy of Ol' Dirty Bastard, a founding member of Wu-Tang Clan, which will premiere at the NUHO Online Film Festival's launch party on November 15, 2013 at the historic Brooklyn Academy of Music. The documentary was created by filmmaker, and cousin of ODB, Stephon Turner, aka Raison Allah and Zufilms Inc. Wu-Tang Clan will appear with a holographic of ODB, for a live Q&A available to festival attendees worldwide via live streaming.

"ODB was unconventional, and what NUHO is doing is unconventional," said Wu-Tang co-founder The RZA. "We love what NUHO is doing. Wu-Tang loves a good revolution."

The NUHO Online Festival is open for entries now, and will run from February 7th through February 28th, 2014. The festival offers a whole new experience for both filmmakers and audiences alike. Indie filmmakers benefit from unique profit sharing, (should explain more about how this happens) rare exposure to a worldwide audience, one-click crowd funding opportunities, exposure to agents, distributors, and other industry professionals, all without having to spend money on travel costs or marketing. Festival fans get the full spectrum festival experience from anywhere.

"We are offering everything other film festivals offer -- where you watch films, stream live events, attend panel discussions and meet other filmmakers -- the only thing we can't provide is a cocktail," says Keith Mitchell, CEO of New Hollywood Entertainment.

For decades filmmakers have had only one option for the distribution of their films -- the traditional Hollywood system. With the landscape of content delivery ever-evolving, filmmakers and movie goers now have an alternative system. Films are only screened for the duration of the festival, as not to cannibalize the value for distributors, and NuHo's state of the art encryption technology ensures there are no piracy issues.

"NUHO is founded by filmmakers for filmmakers and we have created an amazing showcase platform for you to discover the best and brightest of the film community," adds Mitchell. "The festival business is a necessary spoke in the wheel of film distribution, however, when the festival benefits the hosts more than the filmmakers that is wrong. We offer filmmakers a friendly site where everybody succeeds."

New Hollywood Entertainment's mission is to distribute quality independent films to the public on all delivery platforms. We simplify the gap between filmmakers and audiences. We unite each phase of the over-complicated movie industry, absorbing the functions of middlemen and eliminating redundancy.

New Hollywood (NUHO) has developed a revolutionary business model for the moviemaking business. With the dynamic of content delivery changing rapidly, filmmakers have options never before available. The NUHO Online Film Festival is the brainchild of the New Hollywood (NUHO) Entertainment distribution company. They pride themselves as being known as a distribution company with an independent filmmakers mentality.

"Dirty: Platinum Edition" is a biopic documentary about Ol' Dirty Bastard's life, created by ODB's cousin Stephon Turner aka Raison Allah and Zufilms Inc. The documentary features interviews and stories from Wu-Tang members, affiliates, and family members, as well as old interviews and live footage. The film is currently packaged along with the "NEW WU GENERATION ALBUM," which includes never before heard tracks from Ol' Dirty, RZA and Young Dirty.
