New Jersey Health Insurance CO-OP Receives NCQA Accreditation

NEWARK, NJ--(Marketwired - September 14, 2015) - Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey (HRINJ), the state's first and only non-profit CO-OP health insurance plan, has received a status of Accredited from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The New Jersey CO-OP was awarded Full Accreditation for both its commercial and marketplace product lines. In its third year of business, the insurer offers individual insurance on and off the Health Insurance Marketplace ( and small group insurance.

NCQA Accreditation represents the highest standard in the healthcare industry, and is the most widely recognized accreditation program of its kind in the United States. NCQA Health Plan Accreditation evaluates how well a health plan manages all parts of its delivery system -- physicians, hospitals, providers and administrative services. Evaluations include rigorous reviews of quality management, utilization management, member and provider policies and procedures, processes, materials and reporting.
