New Leader Takes the Helm at AAA Texas

IRVING, TX--(Marketwire - February 25, 2009) - AAA Texas has tapped longtime employee Rhonda Wilson as its new General Manager and Regional Vice President. Wilson takes the helm of the state's largest and oldest Auto Club and leisure Travel Company serving more than 1 million members in Texas. She will lead the motor club's auto, travel, and membership operations.

Wilson has worked for AAA Texas for more than 20 years. CEO Thomas V. McKernan said that Wilson's outstanding record led to her appointment. "Rhonda's knowledge and experience make her ideally suited to lead AAA Texas. Her leadership skills will enable us to accelerate the company's growth, and improve our products and services for our members."

Prior to taking this position, Wilson was based in Austin where she served as an Area Manager responsible for overseeing three district offices. "This is an exciting challenge," said Wilson. "I am both proud and humbled by the opportunity to lead AAA Texas which has an outstanding reputation of service and commitment to its members."

Wilson has been active in a number of local and community organizations. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from St. Edwards University in Austin. Wilson succeeds Mark Bell who recently retired after a career of more than 35 years with AAA Texas.
