New Linley Group Industry Study Indicates Neterion Has Significantly Extended Its Market Leadership Position

Neterion's Revenue Market Share Jumps to More Than Sixty Percent of the 10GbE Adapter Market Segment

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 23, 2007 -- Neterion, Inc., the industry leader in the 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) adapter market for server and storage environments, announced that a newly released industry study indicates that the company has not only maintained its leadership position, but has increased its revenue market share to sixty percent of the 10 GbE NIC product category.

The Linley Group study, titled "Networking Silicon Market Share 2006," revealed that Neterion currently leads all companies in this category with a 60.1% revenue share of the market. That is an 11 percentage point gain over last year's numbers and solidifies its leadership position. The 10 GbE adapter market grew at an outstanding 71% rate, but Neterion sailed by this figure with a 2006 annual growth rate of 111%.

"In our initial 2005 Networking Silicon Market Share study, Neterion established itself as the clear leader in the 10 GbE NIC product category," noted Bob Wheeler, Senior Analyst with The Linley Group and co-author of the report. "These latest numbers indicate that Neterion is actually increasing its leadership position and growing at a faster rate than the entire market segment, demonstrating that its focus on the high end of the server and storage market is paying off."

The study contains market-share information for a wide range of product categories including network processors, high-speed embedded microprocessors and 10GbE adapters. According to Linley Gwennap, Principal Analyst, The Linley Group, the report is designed to offer chip vendors, investors, and OEMs research on how product markets and suppliers' positions have changed over the past year.

"These are really remarkable growth numbers for both our company and the entire 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter industry," stated Dave Zabrowski, president and CEO of Neterion. "We're extremely pleased to have consolidated our leadership position, but even more importantly, this report is solid evidence that 10 GbE is gaining momentum as the fabric of choice in enterprise data centers for high-speed server and storage networking applications."

Neterion has won several tier one server OEM designs in the past years, including HP, IBM, EMC and Hitachi. Vitality of the 10 GbE adapter market is evidenced by an annual volume run rate nearing 10,000 units per year through Neterion's largest OEM customer.
