New Media "Dream Team" Forms Mozaic Branding

Five Powerhouse Executives From Advertising, Production, Action Media and Business Strategy Launch New Firm That Aims to Connect Brands With Talent -- Seamlessly

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 5, 2014) - As the landscape for advertisers shifts at breakneck speeds to adapt to changes in consumer behavior, an innovative firm is launching to provide unprecedented service capabilities for brands seeking collaboration with coveted "new media superstars" and top YouTube talent: Mozaic Branding.

Industry vet Fran Solomita, most recently Vice President of Branded Entertainment at Maker Studios, will lead the firm, with offices in New York City and Los Angeles. While at Maker, Solomita supervised partnerships with blue chip brands including Quaker, PepsiCo, Discover, Universal Pictures and more.

"In this ever-changing landscape we've created a new model to more efficiently give brands what they pay for, and the talent what they're worth. In an industry first, Mozaic will represent the deal," Solomita said.

A visionary team from different disciplines, all leaders in their respective fields, joins Solomita. Combined, their mission is to offer a streamlined approach in an industry bogged down by layers of bureaucracy that often slows processes and diminishes creativity and profitability. The team includes:

  • Fran Solomita, Chief Executive Officer. In addition to Solomita's experience with Maker Studios, the comedian-turned-executive helped his clients generate hundreds of millions of views.

  • Mike Bienstock, Chief Operating Officer. As the founder of Semaphore, Bienstock and his team have been recognized as a critical and trusted "go-to" business partner solution for YouTubers. Most recently, Bienstock negotiated the groundbreaking deal between (Phil) DeFranco Creative and Discovery Communications.

  • Peter Bray, Chief Strategy Officer. Most recently director of digital at Saatchi & Saatchi, the veteran executive has an 18-year pedigree in advertising combined with unmatched experience in leading both full service and digital agencies in the WPP and Publicis networks. Named one of Australia's most influential people under 40 in 2011, Bray's impressive client base includes numerous startups and established companies, including Google, General Mills, Procter & Gamble, BMW and LVMH.

  • Todd Grossman, Chief Creative Officer. The X-games athlete turned-writer/director/producer oversaw production on hundreds of broadcast commercials and web spots, and worked on high profile films including "xXx," "The Mummy," and "G.I.Joe."

  • Nate Higgins, Chief Financial Officer. As co-founder of Semaphore Tax & Business, Higgins brings a wealth of business and transactional knowledge to the team, advising a significant number of top talents in their business and financial matters during his term at Semaphore.

"Million dollar slick commercials are no longer resonating with consumers under 30," said Michael Bienstock. "We are at the dawn of a massive shift in the way brands connect with consumers. The traditional models are crumbling along with the old infrastructure that supports them. We intend to give brands an easy-to-navigate, direct process to connect with the influencer community, and ultimately the consumer."
