New Media Line for RCM-SAR Marine Rescue Information

A new 24-hour media line is now available for reporters needing information about Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCM-SAR) activities.

You can reach the media line at the RCM-SAR office in Victoria at 778 352-1006.

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue is part of the marine search and rescue system on the West Coast. RCM-SAR crews are the primary marine search and rescue responders in many of the more than 40 communities we serve. We also work with other public safety agencies such as the Canadian Coast Guard, police and fire departments. We are tasked to marine emergencies by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria.
