New Mexico Software Releases Picture Archiving and Communication App on the iPad™

New XR-EXpress Feature Available From the Apple App Store™

ALBUQUERQUE, NM--(Marketwire - January 11, 2011) -  New Mexico Software, Inc. (OTCBB: NMXC) announced today that the company's XR-EXpress service is now available on the iPad™.

The software is the company's first medical Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) compatible with Apple's smart phones and portable devices through the Apple App Store™ and can be quickly and easily downloaded without a charge. New features include the ability to print wirelessly to any ePrint wireless printer. Users also are able to provide a one-time log in to clinicians to see the results of radiology and cardiology exams. An iPhone™ app was introduced last October.

New Mexico Software's XR-EXpress (XR-EX) system allows doctors to examine medical images (X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, EKGs, etc.) over the Internet. XR-EX captures medical images as high resolution dicom digital files, streams the images, tags them with patient information and stores them for easy retrieval.

New Mexico Software customer Shane Trent, president of Advanced Portable Imaging, in Raleigh, NC, said, "XR-EXpress on the iPad is a very good demonstration tool to showcase the resources we have available for our clients. Our sales team can quickly demonstrate how easy it is to access patient information."

Gary Barlow, PAC/CEO of Western Medical Group, said, "Ever since the iPad came out, I thought it would be great to have an app that would enable us to use the iPad to show patients their digital x-rays in their hospital room or any other location beyond the physician's office. The importance of this application is that it also will allow us to share x-rays with our orthopedic surgeons remotely while they are at other sites."

CEO Dick Govatski said, "The recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas showed a host of new tablets. This year is going to be a banner year for these types of devices. The apps that run on them will require software development companies to keep up with the technology to stay ahead of the market. New Mexico Software is committing resources to make sure we have all device manufacturers able to run our XR-EXpress PACS system. We'll have further announcements in late January when we expect to have our apps also running on Android and Google smart phones.

"All current customers of TeleRad Service as well as XR-EXpress users can immediately download the application from the Apple Apps Store™ and begin using it with their current login and password. The application is available at the Apple App Store™ as XR-Express-2. Software version iOS 4.2 or later is required. The application works seamlessly with the web version," Govatski said.

iPhone™, iPod touch™, iPad™ and the Apple App Store™ are all trademarks of Apple, Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
