New Monitoring Device Lets Patients Record Their Electrocardiogram (ECG) Anytime and Anywhere

RICHMOND, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 8, 2005 -- Trident International Corporation announced today it is marketing ReadMyHeart, a new handheld monitoring device that lets patients record their electrocardiogram (ECG) anytime and anywhere. In only 30 seconds ReadMyHeart captures information vital to better cardiovascular disease management. Patients simply place their thumbs on the ReadMyHeart thumb pads and press the button to start tracing ECG signals. ReadMyHeart measures average heart rate, ST value (an indication of blood flow), and QRS interval (a measure of ventricular activity). The patient can compare their readings to the normal ranges shown inside the flip-up cover.

ReadMyHeart can be a valuable tool for monitoring rhythm and conduction during normal daily activities, collecting and managing a useful data bank of ECG recordings, or simply empowering patients to take a more active role in managing their disease. Patients at high risk of heart disease, such as patients with high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, or patients starting a new medication, may find ReadMyHeart offers an excellent tool for communicating with their doctors. ReadMyHeart software allows the user to transfer data files to a personal computer, which can then be printed or emailed to their physician.

ReadMyHeart is intended as a supplement to existing diagnostic procedures and does not provide diagnostic or analytical capabilities, but is used for monitoring purposes only. Clinical testing shows no significant difference between ReadMyHeart readings and other standard devices.

ReadMyHeart is manufactured by DailyCare BioMedical Inc. in Taiwan, and is distributed in the United States by Trident International Corporation.
