New National Poll on Counterfeiting to Be Released at Economic Club Speech Today

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 27, 2007) - The most innovative economies are found in nations that strongly protect intellectual property rights. But in Canada, where the rules governing IP are lax and enforcement is weak, counterfeiting and piracy have run amok, with negative consequences for our future prosperity. Graham Henderson will lay out an action plan to curb counterfeiting and piracy, with the goal of building a more innovative and prosperous future for all Canadians.

Henderson's speech will include the results of a new, national poll on counterfeiting commissioned by the Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network.
