Great Wolf Lodge, Canada's Premier Indoor Waterpark Lodge Opens for Business

NIAGARA FALLS, ON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 13, 2006 --The doors of Great Wolf Lodge, Canada's premier family destination resort, are ready to open and the stage is set for the biggest pool party to ever hit Niagara Falls.

A Hollywood-style rock concert featuring Smash Mouth, known for chart-toppers like "Walkin' on the Sun," "All Star," "Then the Morning Comes," and hits on the "Cat in the Hat" and "Shrek" movie soundtracks, will highlight opening festivities on April 13 during the VIP/Media invitation-only preview party.

"Hey now, you're an All Star, get your game on, go play!" which is exactly what the VIPs and media will do at the 406-suite resort, the first Great Wolf Lodge location in Canada, owned by Canadian entrepreneur Jim Pattison.

Officially open on April 14 for reservations, the 103,000 square-foot waterpark inside the resort features 13 amazing water slides, from the gentle kiddy Raccoon Run to the Niagara Rapids Run, a family water rollercoaster on which guests travel uphill, then drop an exhilarating 52 feet.

When its time to tuck in for the night, 10 different suite configurations are available to accommodate families of every size from a KidCabin Suite with a queen bed, sofa sleeper, log cabin-themed private sleeping area for the kids with bunk beds and day bed to a Grizzly Bear Suite with three queen beds, two private bedrooms, private bath with whirlpool, living area with sofa sleeper, a 3/4 bath, and fireplace.

Guests and the general public alike can enjoy Camp Critter Bar & Grille, a themed, family restaurant and bar; The Antler Shanty Grub, a gourmet buffet; Pizza Hut Express; Bear Claw Café confectionery; The Trading Post gift emporium; Elements -- an Aveda® Concept Salon and Spa; and more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including a tiered, fully equipped A/V conference room.

Outside, the one-of-a-kind Wacky Wilderness Mini-Golf offers 18-holes of interactive miniature golf and guests can also relax in the Great Outdoor Spa, an adults-only hot tub for year-round enjoyment overlooking the majestic Niagara River Gorge.
