New Product Secures Homeowners and Electrical Contractors

Business Launches New Tamper Proof Device That Protects Licensed Electrical Contractors and Homeowners

TORONTO--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - YFJ Industries Ltd. launched their new tamper proof device, Electric Panel Seals (EPS) in the fall of 2010. The product has been tested in the renovation market by licensed electrical contractors who have been securing it to their customers' panels once they have completed work. The EPS will be first introduced on Holmes Inspection, "Path of Destruction" segment Thursday, March 17th at 12pm and 9pm and again on Saturday, 6pm and 11pm on HGTV Canada.

David Zovic, Founder and President, explains the purpose of the EPS as a "security feature because it clearly identifies that the work performed is done by a qualified electrical contractor. If the seal is broken the warranty is void." He comments, "There is no evidence for electrical contractors that someone else isn't going to tamper and / or alter their work. A close friend of mine, Frank Cozzolino, from Solutions Electrical and Maintenance, has firsthand knowledge when it comes to being wrongly accused of shoddy workmanship. Someone else had altered his work and compromised the safety of the homeowner as well as his reputation. Other than word of mouth there is no way to prove who the last one in was until now."

David Zovic and Frank Cozzolino see the importance of airing EPS on Holmes Inspection as a two-fold. Offering the EPS as an exclusivity to licensed electrical contractors will attract the attention of homeowners so that they cannot be taken advantage of by a contractor who is not authorized to be working on their electrical system. It will also attract the attention of electrical contractors who can now protect themselves by documenting and being able to recall their own work for their clients.

EPS has been enjoying great success with Eaton Cutler-Hammer specifically Loreto Persichetti, who is working on bringing members of the Eaton Certified Contractor Network (ECCN) on board. Mike Holmes has also shown interest in using this with every Mikes Holmes Inspection and staff of the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) have also been engaged in regards to the importance and efforts of EPS from the planning stages.

Frank Cozzolino, who officially endorses this product, is engaging friends and colleagues, seeking their support. Frank would not endorse something that he did not believe in and thinks that every electrical contractor that cares about their reputation should endorse and use EPS. "This small and powerful device will provide assurance for the homeowner that the electrical work is performed to the highest standards and codes. This will deter BAD 'contractors' from leaving behind evidence of their incompetence. This is a positive change for our industry as a whole and another step forward in protecting consumers."
