New Products Spice Up Holiday Menus, Cut Prep Time

24 Innovative New Products Including Thai Red Curry Chicken Stock, Delicious New Flatbreads and Decadent Chocolate Melting Cake Batter Help Increase Sales for US Foods Customers

ROSEMONT, IL--(Marketwire - Nov 14, 2011) - Just in time for the holiday season, US Foods, one of the country's most innovative food companies and distributors, has launched a new product lineup to help chefs jazz up their menus and serve diners faster without sacrificing quality. The 24 new products developed by the US Foods team of expert culinary experts are available now and include items from the Chef's Line, a new line of delicious, chef-inspired, time-saving foods.

From base ingredients to appetizers, entrees and desserts, US Foods customers can keep menus on-trend and on-budget without having to spend more time in the kitchen. The new Chef's Line offers more than a dozen new products, all boasting scratch-made quality in a near-finished form. Products include a vanilla crème that allows chefs to make perfect crème brulee in 30 seconds, a dessert that could take hours to do from scratch.

The new US Foods exclusive Metro Deli line features an all-natural line of deli meats that are gluten free, lower in sodium and contain no additives. Molly's Kitchen is another new US Foods exclusive brand that provides traditional and international hors d-oeuvres, appetizers and ready meals.
