New Publisher at Toronto Sun: Quebecor Selects Kin-Man Lee

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 28, 2006) - Pierre Karl Peladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor Inc., and Pierre Francoeur, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Media Corp. announce the appointment today of Kin-Man Lee to the position of Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Sun.

"Kin-Man Lee has a great understanding of the potential and the challenges facing the media at a critical point in its evolution," said Mr. Peladeau. "He has spent almost his entire professional career with the Sun organization. He was there with the legendary founder, Doug Creighton, then under the stewardship of Paul Godfrey and finally with Quebecor. He has lived the tradition of this great organization that will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year."

Mr. Francoeur said: "Mr. Lee's perspectives and knowledge of the company's businesses will be invaluable as the Sun continues to move forward in the rapidly changing media industry."

Mr. Lee will also assume the position of Executive Vice President with Sun Media Corporation and continue to serve on the board of directors and executive committees of the company's print and broadcast organizations.

Mr. Lee joined the Sun organization in 1989 and broadened his scope as an executive for the community newspaper publisher, Bowes Publishers Ltd., a subsidiary of Sun Media Corporation. He became Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Sun Media Corporation last year.

An honours mathematics graduate of the University of Waterloo, Mr. Lee earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1988 before embarking on a media management career that has included human resources and information technology.

A native to the Toronto area, Mr. Lee and his wife Marian have two young children Christine and Kurtis.
