New Semaphore Technical Brief Describes Remote Alarm Management

LAKE MARY, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 10, 2011) - Semaphore, a CSE Global company, has released a technical document with information on applications of the T-BOX RTU product family. T-BOX brings new technology to alarm management for remote site processes.

The "T-BOX Alarm Management" brief describes how T-BOX reliably uses inexpensive, public networks to inform multiple recipients of alarms and live, exception conditions in a timely manner. Using Semaphore's TWinSoft menus, the alarm management system is easy to configure. Alarms can result from limits on process inputs as well as complex, programmable logic. T-BOX alarm management can not only inform users of conditions but can initiate logic operations to automatically take action.

T-BOX employs an innovative, decentralized architecture that enables the complete integration of alarm management, data logging, programmable automation, and IP telemetry in a single, rugged package. Simple yet powerful platforms leverage web technologies and push messaging via e-mail, SMS text, and FTP. T-BOX systems are easy to configure and offer dramatically reduced costs versus traditional PLC and SCADA system architectures.

Semaphore's T-BOX and Kingfisher RTU products are ideal for a broad range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast / telecom, infrastructure management, oil & gas, power, transportation and water / wastewater industries.
