New SenseLine ELDS Open Path Gas Detection Product Literature for Oil & Gas Industry

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - December 11, 2007) - Senscient Inc announces new product data sheets available for their recently introduced SenseLine ELDS OPGD (open path gas detection) products. SenseLine ELDS is a gas detection system with a patented Enhanced Laser Diode Spectroscopy (ELDSTM) technology that features orders of magnitude better sensitivity for flammable gases and false alarm-free, low ppm level toxic gas detection.

The SenseLine products meet new safety requirements in the Oil, Gas and Petroleum Processing industry for improved plant and personnel protection from dangerous gas leaks. The Senscient SenseLine ELDS OPGD is slated to go into production in the second quarter, 2008.

Individual product data sheets describe how Senscient SenseLine ELDS OPGD transmitters and receivers may be spaced from 5 meters up to 200 meters apart (and further depending upon the target gas and levels). When low ppm-meter levels of a hazardous gas pass through any part of the laser line, the system can report the presence of the gas leak early enough to allow remedial action by the user.
