New Social Media App MarcoPoloLoco to Change How We Communicate

Unique Mobile App Lets Users Send Messages to Locations in Past, Present, or Future

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Aug 22, 2012) - A new and unique mobile, social media application is changing the way we communicate. "MarcoPoloLoco is a location-based messaging app," explained President Joe Roets, "that lets you send a message (a "Marco") to anyone currently at a specified location. It also lets you send a Marco to anyone at that location in the future, or anyone who has been to that location in the past."

Like a game of "Marco Polo," whoever gets the "Marco" can reply with a "Polo," Roets went on to explain.

Unlike other location based social media applications, MarcoPoloLoco was developed from the start to focus on the privacy of its users. While the app uses device location to deliver messages, this location is never available to any other user.

MarcoPoloLoco is a free app download available on the Google Play market for mobile devices running on Android and on the iTunes App Store for iOS users.

The object is to allow users to communicate with their friends or co-workers based upon where they are while maintaining user privacy. Users can also find out what's going on around them and meet people when they are in a new area without letting anyone track their location.

"MarcoPoloLoco allows more effective communication because with a Marco, location matters," explained Roets. "A user will only receive messages that are important to him or her based upon where they are."

The app essentially changes the way a person can communicate with friends, how a business can communicate with its customers, and the way people can determine what is going on around them.

The new and innovative social media tool is making waves by developing a user base in the Washington, D.C. area and around the world, where people are using MarcoPoloLoco to communicate with friends, family and co-workers.
