WESTBURY, NY--(Marketwired - March 24, 2016) - The Spectroline® OPK-400BEZ/E Complete BigEZ™ Leak Detection Kit contains everything needed to locate refrigerant leaks in medium to large size AC&R systems -- including high-pressure R-410A systems. The new kit is economical and ideal for international shipping. Simply add a small amount of dye to the system and let it circulate. The fluorescent dye can be added with the system off or running. The dye/oil mixture escapes with the refrigerant wherever there's a leak. The exact source of every leak will be revealed by its bright fluorescent glow.
At the heart of the new kit is the OPTIMAX™ 400, a powerful, violet light LED leak detection flashlight, providing optimal fluorescent dye response and contrast. It emits less visible light compared to standard blue light inspection lamps, so all AC&R leaks are easier to locate. The OPTIMAX™ 400 has power comparable to high-intensity 150-watt lamps and an inspection range of 25 feet (7.6 m) or more.
The kit also includes the BigEZ™ dye injector, a multi-dose 4 oz (118 ml) universal/POE dye cartridge. This work-saving tool is calibrated in ⅛ oz increments, so a technician can add the exact amount of dye for each system, simply by turning a handle. Additional components consist of a hose assembly with check valve and low-loss fitting, a purge fitting, an 8 oz (237 ml) spray bottle of GLO-AWAY™ dye cleaner, three drip plugs and fluorescence-enhancing glasses. All components are packed in a rugged carrying case. The dye cartridge treats up to 16 gallons (61 L) of lubricant, 400 lbs (181 kg) of refrigerant or 160 tons of cooling.
