MATANE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 29, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Digital Imagery Research and Development Center (CDRIN) has been granted funding for the acquisition of leading-edge equipment and specialized software that will allow small, medium-sized and large enterprises to benefit from the latest technology.

This support is being awarded in the form of a $188,640 non-repayable contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

  • Inaugurated in October 2011, CDRIN works with small, medium and large companies to carry out research and technology transfer in the field of digital imagery, with particular emphasis on motion capture and augmented reality. • CDRIN announced in June the creation of a business incubator that will give entrepreneurs wishing to enter the field of new technologies access to office space, specialized equipment and assistance in finding financing.
