Enhanced spell and grammar check: Timeslips now offers an upgraded spell checker and the ability to check grammar. An on-screen visual indicator will help catch misspellings and resolve grammatical mistakes quickly and easily.

Creation of slips by email(1): Slips can now be created in Timeslips by simply emailing a time or expense entry in the required format from virtually any handheld device, including a BlackBerry® handheld device.

Bill cover page: The billing process can be expedited even more quickly now that a bill cover page can be created within Timeslips at the same time the bill is generated. The bill cover page can summarize client-specific details, such as the amount due and current balance, in any chosen format.

Scheduled backup: The automatic, scheduled backup of Timeslips data will ensure that important slip and billing details are not lost. Each backup file can have a unique name to help determine the most current information, while preserving older backups. A log file is maintained to help track the status of scheduled backups. The system can also notify specified timekeepers when a backup fails.

Slip approvals and notes: With the addition of slip approvals and notes, users will find it easier to manage the time tracking process. The built-in formal review of slips will prevent slips that have not been approved from being included on a bill, while slip notes will enable users to enter comments on a slip without placing them in the description field. The note will be automatically stamped with the date, time and timekeeper's initials.

Long time users will also see improvements to the Navigator menus, an icon-based layout of the billing process which quickly guides users through important billing tasks, and Timeslips Today, a customizable dashboard which provides an overview of important Timeslips data in one view.

The Navigator has been redesigned with a fresh new interface to allow users to more efficiently complete the steps in their billing process. With role-based navigation, users are presented with information that is pertinent to their roles as they execute tasks. The role-based navigation will ensure that both controls and data are relevant to the logged-in user.

Timeslips Today now includes a wider variety of options for information to be displayed in this view and easily printed, right from the screen. In addition, the link for QuickBooks has been improved with client/customer link reports, a log for data transfers, and user notifications of transfer issues.
