New Version of BenefitPoint Now Available

Enhanced Benefits Management System Offers Best-of-Breed Integration

BOTHELL, WA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2008) - AMS Services, a leader in insurance agency automation, today announced availability of the latest version of BenefitPoint, a web-based, comprehensive benefit management and procurement solution for brokers and benefit consultants. BenefitPoint's industry-leading approach is designed to allow integration of best-of-breed solutions between property and casualty and benefits management systems. BenefitPoint currently integrates with AMS 360, AMS Sagitta and Applied Systems' TAM (The Agency Manager®). Integration with Applied's Vision series is coming this fall.

The new version of BenefitPoint features deeper integration, enhanced commission tracking and customization and new event-driven workflow capabilities for benefits brokers and consultants. These new features form the framework for a comprehensive benefits management system with advanced business intelligence. An exciting new component of the commission tracking system, eStatements, is an electronic statement conversion tool designed for BenefitPoint brokerage clients to upload electronic carrier statement data. BenefitPoint's eStatements substantially decreases the time spent manually entering statement data and helps prevent typing errors.

"Re-keying data is a major drain on resources and exposes the agency to errors and reversals," said Robert Ross Reed, Jr., project administrator, Neace Lukens. "By utilizing BenefitPoint's new eStatements functionality, we reduced our manual entry time for our three largest carriers by a total of ten days per month. Now our accounting department can focus on critical monthly activities instead of re-keying information."

BenefitPoint is also nearing completion of its real-time integration with Applied Systems' Vision product. The state-of-the-art integration synchronizes client, policy and commission data between the two applications, eliminating double entry. With the new version of BenefitPoint, employee benefits staff members will enjoy deep functionality and reporting, automatic flow and merging of information into Vision and the overall production reports.

"Over the past few years, we heard from our customers that they needed additional customization and integration with BenefitPoint," said Brent Rineck, senior vice president, BenefitPoint. "This release is the culmination of those requests. We made it easier to customize while retaining the standards our brokers need and we have added deeper integration with other systems with Web Services. Commission tracking through eStatements is saving companies time and money."
