New Veteran Owned Company Helping Service Members Secure Affordable Home Loans While Helping Veteran Focused Charities

HOBOKEN, NJ--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2012) - More than 27 million military veterans are eligible for VA home loan benefits and that number is expected to rise as more service members return from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Unfortunately these returning vets are often the target of predatory and fraudulent loan practices. The Department of Justice is currently investigating ten banks accused of illegally foreclosing on thousands of veterans and active-duty military, even while some were deployed overseas. A recent Senate report alleges that close to 1 million VA home loans involve some degree of fraud.

To help veterans secure affordable home loans, VA Loan Captain (, a new veteran owned and operated company is partnering with prominent veteran non-profits and select lenders to help service members avoid falling victim of these deceptive practices.

VA Loan Captain, Inc. (VALC) exclusively serves military members and their families. Launched in January 2012, VALC is the first Veterans Affairs (VA) home loan sourcing company to partner with affiliate lenders committed to making a $200 charitable contribution to a participating veteran non-profit with every VA loan closed.

"As a veteran, I know the issues facing returning servicemen and women. It gives me great pleasure to build a company with a mission focused on supporting fellow veterans while also providing critically needed resources and funds to veteran focused organizations," says Grant Moon, founder and President of VA Loan Captain, Inc. and veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

"Our Veterans Guarantee Pledge brings peace of mind to veteran homebuyers. It assures every service member will be treated ethically, professionally and with the respect they deserve throughout the VA loan process," Moon said. "We use Veteran Owned Service Providers whenever possible and our affiliate lenders donate $200 to one of our partner veteran organizations for every loan closed."

Currently those partner VA organizations include the Disabled Veterans Committee on Housing, the VFW Foundation and Freedom Veterans of America.

VA Loan Captain, Inc. is a socially responsible company, helping veterans secure competitive interest rates through legal and ethical means to homeownership. VALC only works with pre-approved banks and lenders with these principles in mind.
