New Vice President: Stefan St-Laurent Takes the Reins of Canoe.ca's Three Classifieds Sites

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 11, 2007) - Canoe is pleased to announce the appointment of Stefan St-Laurent as Vice President of Autonet, Micasa and Classified Ads. In creating this position, the company brings its classified ad websites together under one roof, fostering the synergy between the Canoe and Sun Media classified ad sections.

Rising to the top

In addition to a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Montreal campus of the University of Quebec, Stefan St-Laurent has more than 10 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development and marketing. Over the past several years, he has been instrumental in establishing strategic partnerships with major companies, including the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, Ford Canada, General Motors Canada, Desjardins, Trader Canada, and J.D. Power and Associates.

Between 1996 and 2006, Mr. St-Laurent worked for software company 20-20 Technologies and Services Internet Autolinq, where he was involved in creating a number of products, including the Auto123.com automotive website. In November 2006, he joined Canoe Inc. as General Manager of Classified Ads. By April, Mr. St-Laurent had also added Micasa.ca, Canoe's housing and real estate portal, to his responsibilities.

"By putting one person in charge of these three sites, we hope to position Canoe at the forefront of both the general and specialized classified ad markets. Mr. St-Laurent has already proven that he has what it takes," states Patrick Lauzon, Executive Vice President of Canoe Inc.

Three strong products

Micasa.ca, which recently added housing rental ads to its services, is undeniably one of the most complete real estate websites online today and the only one to respond to the needs of both private sellers and agents. Auto dealers across Canada turn to Autonet.ca, the best place on the Web to showcase new and used vehicles and services. And finally, Classifiedextra.ca and its French version at vitevitevite.ca give consumers access to more than 100,000 classified ads from 200 Canadian newspapers.

Canoe Inc., Canada's Internet leader, is an integrated company offering e-commerce, information and communication services. According to the comScore March 2007 Media Metrix survey, Canoe attracts more than 7.8 million unique visitors per month in Canada. The portal includes: Canoe.ca, La Toile du Quebec (toile.com), Canoe Money (money.canoe.com), the TVA sites (tva.canoe.com) and the LCN site (lcn.canoe.com).
